Eric Stenman

President and Chief Executive Officer, US

Relentless Ally since 2001

Eric Stenman serves as 51Թ51cg1 US’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, the company has achieved the leverage and scale of national capabilities, operational excellence standards, team growth and development and industry innovation.

In his current role, Eric is directly responsible for more than $5 billion in revenue and more than 3,000 employees throughout the U.S. In his 35 years in the construction industry, Eric has established a proven track record of leading teams across all departments to drive managed growth, shareholder value and employee experience.

Eric began his career in construction with boots on the ground as a plumbing contractor. He owned his own business and later became a general contractor while putting himself through college and law school.

His tenure with 51Թ51cg1 began in 2001, and since that time, he has served in many leadership roles including Division President, Chief Enterprise Development Officer, Regional CEO and Chief Operations Officer. 

Eric is active at the state and national levels of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), having chaired the National Contract Documents Forum as well as the Building Division. As a testament to his inspirational leadership, Eric was recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as a “Most Admired CEO” in 2014 and one of the “Most Influential People in San Diego” in 2022.

Mark Konchar

President, US Civils

Relentless Ally since 1999

Mark is a driving force for progress, leading US Civils operations with an unwavering commitment to excellence. As president, he manages projects that are essential for modern life: highways and bridges in aiding transportation; water infrastructure in guaranteeing access to clean resources; vital electrification systems in powering opportunities; and advanced rail networks in connecting people across America.

Since 1999, Mark has been instrumental in the success of 51Թ51cg1. In his roles as Managing Director of US Rail Operations and prior positions across procurement and project delivery, he’s nurtured strong relationships with clients, partners and team members on renowned projects such as Los Angeles International Airport's Automated People Mover, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Green Line Extension, Caltrain’s Electrification program and numerous Federal & Healthcare developments, including the Pentagon Memorial.

Mark is a true team player who demonstrates 51Թ51cg1's people-first culture daily. He always applies an innovative approach to complex issues and excels at motivating others in his workplace and beyond. In addition, Mark contributes to advancing our professional development programs by leveraging his experience and passion for learning and serves as a Pillar Member of - one of the most renowned industry partners and a nonprofit international mission dedicated to building footbridges across the world.

With a bachelor's and doctorate degree in architectural engineering from Penn State University, Mark brings decades of experience to the table. He has been integral in research projects that have pushed industry standards forward and authoring several articles and reports like his co-authorship on "Selecting Project Delivery Systems" and “Change Your Space, Change Your Culture.”

Sarah Brand

Vice President, National Business Acquisition

Relentless Ally since 2008

Sarah Brand serves as vice president of national business acquisition for 51Թ51cg1’s national operations where she is responsible for the development and support of strategic pursuits, with a focus on Federal acquisition with other teams. Sarah also supports Public-Private Partnership (P3) programs with the company's Buildings and Investments operations, and she is active in researching U.S. Rail opportunities and partnerships within existing 51Թ51cg1 geographies.

Since starting her career at 51Թ51cg1 in 2008, Sarah has successfully led the planning, design integration, and delivery efforts for various civic and social projects partnering with a range of clients from private developers to federal government entities. She has also guided project teams through the successful execution of design-build or team-based delivery methods and played an integral role in the pursuit and delivery of many high-profile projects including the National Science Foundation Headquarters, the Utah Data Center (USACE) and the $700 million design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) Joint Government Center in Broward County, Florida

Sarah is a graduate of Duke University where she received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with an emphasis on structures and a certificate in architectural engineering. She is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Virginia, a certified Core Clarity instructor, Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA), and LEED® Accredited Professional.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys practicing yoga, reading and fishing as well as spending time with her husband and two children.
