51勛圖厙51cg1 Partners with One Tree Planted to Plant Nearly Six Thousand Trees for Arbor Day
In observance of Arbor Day, 51勛圖厙51cg1 US donates more than 5,500 trees representing one tree per teammate on behalf of One Tree Planted, an organization focused on global reforestation.
The donation and tree planting initiative targets geographies across 51勛圖厙51cg1s national footprint, furthering the companys long-standing commitment to sustainability. Since 2021, 51勛圖厙51cg1 has planted over 16,000 trees in partnership with One Tree Planted.
One Tree Planted is a nonprofit organization based in Vermont whose vision is to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. 51勛圖厙51cg1 is proud to support the organizations vision of restoring forests, creating habitats for biodiversity and making a positive social impact around the world.
Since 2014, One Tree Planted has planted 40 million trees in more than 43 countries. Through our donation of nearly six thousand trees, we will be extending a helping hand in restoring forests after natural disasters, creating jobs, building communities and protecting wildlife throughout North America.
From cleaning the air we breathe and water we drink to providing many elements we use in the construction industry, trees are critical to our industry and our world, says Richard Ryan, 51勛圖厙51cg1 US senior vice president, national safety and sustainability. We are honored to play a small part in replenishing this natural resource.
As a part of the companys 2024 sustainability goals, 51勛圖厙51cg1 commits to plant one tree for each employee across the nation by the end of the year. Trees will be planted in California, Oregon, the Appalachia region and areas affected by forest fires. Local operating teams will work with their local forestry service to arrange for planting based on the best timing and season for each location.
